There is so much to discover in Pacific Grove! Whether you are planning a first time visit or are one of our many frequent return guests, we welcome you with our unique brand of hometown hospitality. Perched at the very tip of the Monterey Peninsula, Pacific Grove’s spectacular natural beauty and Victorian streetscapes make for a storybook vacation. “A City of Homes,” Pacific Grove offers respite from the tourist traps found all along the California Coast. Take advantage of the slower pace and mix with the locals at streetside cafes and coffeeshops. Take in a movie, a concert, or a locally produced play. Walk acres and acres of parkland, or enhance your education. We’ll provide you with the contacts and the rest is up to you.

• The only city with a law enforcing a $1000 fine for molesting butterflies.
• There are no bars within the City of Pacific Grove. In fact,
alcohol was not available for sale until 1969, making it the last
"dry town" in California.
• Pacific Grove boasts over 1200 historic properties within its city
limits, ranging from large Queen Anne style Victorians to modest
craftsman style cottages and Spanish revival architecture. Many
of these properties reside in our business districts and serve as
restaurants, boutiques, and gift shops.
• Pacific Grove is home to the oldest continuously working
lighthouse on the Central Coast. Point Pinos Lighthouse is open
for tours Thursday through Sunday, from 1pm to 4pm.
